Tiszai Csoport Tarsasag is a non governmental organization run as a rural action group. We work to identify ways and means to create income through useful employment for the people in the Tisza valley around the village of Tiszanana in the County of Heves, Hungary. We have assisted local families in accessing grants and support for livestock production as well as production of family fruit and vegetables for own consumption. We also carried our surveys in 2001 through 2003 concerning rural educational provisions and supported work on poverty economics under the auspices of the European Committee on Romani Emancipation (ECRE). This web site will be hosting the Hungarian language version of the Romani Forum an initiative which brings together people interested in enhancing education, training and employment creation in rural areas.
